Took the rubber strips off rear arches this morning. Not too cruddy. Cleaned it all off, had a good look and rear arches in perfect order. Even with a hint of grease already thereon!

Cleaned the inner wheel dishes (easily) which confirms to me that the unmarked wheels have never been refurb'd (smart alloy wheel repairs tend to seal the dirt in the inner dishes underneath the finish coat overspray).

Banished a couple of minor scratches with Farcela pads and G3 followed by AG SRP.

Have even worked out how to use the DAB!

How easy was it to take te rubber strips out & put back?

They simply pull off & push back in place after cleaning

7 months in and this one hasn't missed a beat. No trip after trip to garages, no fretting about leaks and the like.

Reliability issues? Don't even think about it and as Mrs pld says, to her, a reliable car is one that you just get in and use without even thinking about... Ahem, that's because HWMO stealthily sorts out/ keeps on top of the maintenance!

Glad it's going ok Ryan. Mine is also pretty much behaving itself too. Apart from last weekend when it put on all the warning lights. Which promptly went of after wee bit of swearing at it.

Due its service this week coming. So will get them to investigate, and look into the tsb about the slight cough that seems to happen on cruise and at motorway speed very occasionally..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Well, 10 months and 8,000 miles into ownership of this car and it has been fantastic.

No issues at all. It's a pleasure to have, looks great and doesn't have a mark on it. Ahem, apart from the fact that it's having a wee cosmetic holiday for a week thanks to a low flying test pilot on a roundabout. That period of R and R will be followed by an annual service.

This car goes to show that despite my misplaced optimism... our former SC (and a number of people who allegedly 'worked' on it) were qualified to have the title: A Duffer
