I have noticed a lot of the Autobiography,s have the Alston headlinning when the full leather HL is available at no extra charge, surely this is the one to have ?

Autobiogs have alcantara or leather. Vogues have a woollen lining. I rather like the mouse fur.

I think very few get specced with leather, possibly because of inertia - the alcantara is the default. I had leather on my L322. Not disappointed by the alcantara. In fact it gets lots of positive comments for some reason (no-one ever noticed the leather).

Perhaps you are right Emperor the Alcantara does look good too, Its just that i have never had a leather head linning and it sounds good. Some might mistake it for plastic.

A blind man perhaps. No mistaking leather if your eyes work.

My L405 AB has leather headlining, I have not had any one comment that it looks like plastic. It's pretty obvious that it's leather.  2014 SDV8 Autobiography

My comment was only tongue in cheek.i would love to have the leather headlining.

My L322 AB SC has the stitched leather headlining, complete with rear vanity mirrors and lights etc. No one has ever really noticed it either!

There was a very small number of L322s that had the black Alcantara, very rare and special, if you see one, buy it.

I LOVE the black alcantara look, so much so, I just put on in my Defender! (Yes I did it myself, I'm pretty handy when it comes to retrimming Defenders!)

Mouse fur looks immediately luxurious, impressive and warm. It is also great to touch. Leather looks great but not as warm. You also have to look closely to see what it is whereas mouse fur is very obvious.

I agree, I think Alcantara is the better choice for headlining as you're only going to look at it, and it 'looks' more luxurious than leather.

It also will not have the leather creak you get with the AB leather one. Discovery 4 HSE

Well i do like both and either would be better than the material i have on the sport now.

Never noticed any creaking from the Leather Headlining in my AB and if it ever needed to be I guess it'd wipe down better than Alcantara

I adore by leather lining! Mine is Ivory in a Jet interiored car so does show up well
