No Facelift Until 2021?

Hello All

Got in touch with my local dealer today to enquire about a facelift for the L405.

I was duly informed today that no changes would take place for the next 5 years at least.

Has anyone heard anything similar or contrary to this?

Like some, I don't want to fork out for a MY16 only for a facelift to come out in the next year or so.

Also, not sure if my location is relevant in this instance but I am located down under in OZ

Cheers
Jkay

Hi , yes you location is very important , Land Rover Australia are a bunch of Censored Censored Censored Censored Censored Censored lying thieving Censored Censored Censored Censored Censored Censored

But there are always incremental changes made throughout a models life and some of the ( wealthier Laughing ) members here seem to have an inside line on when they are coming Very Happy 2008 MY Supercharged

Have you had a negative experience? Id be interested in hearing about it, either here or via PM, if you don't mind that is. Just so I can be aware when I eventually buy mine. I guess the advantage I have in Sydney is the choice of more dealers as opposed to Perth where I believe theres only one? (I could be wrong)

Also, if any other members (abroad or in Aus) have an inside line would love to hear too...

Thanks
JKay

Will they put that in writing ?

Or a guaranteed price to change should a new model come out with visible exterior changes ?

Well I won't go into Barbagallo as dealership it's just too depressing for words and my comments were about Land Rover Australia who don't do customer care or customer relations , they just sit in an ivory tower and make up numbers to charge for things , but for your dealer to say no change till 2021 when there have already been at least 3 model upgrades to the L405 doesn't bode well for their product knowledge . Maybee a more switched on dealer is caled for ? 2008 MY Supercharged

Unnecessary quote removed

Yes I totally, agree that based on that statement alone form the dealer, it isn't good.

I do sort of have it in writing, as their response regarding no changes for the next 5 years was by email.

I tried two other dealers and am awaiting a response. I find it odd a dealer would say something like this...

I guess it's therefore possible that they are correct - maybe if you order a new car today, you're ordering a MY16 for delivery after May and therefore are getting a facelift car that won't change again for another 5 years ???

I hope you are right Cam Tech Craig Smile

Alistair, perhaps, but they did seem pretty keen on selling me the current floor stock, which I don't think are facelifts Smile Have to admit, it was tempting when I sat in the SDV8 AB they had there Thumbs Up

In that case - I'm with Craig - It's highly likely there will be a facelift this year - by that I mean visual external changes

So it depends on how much of a discount they are offering on their existing stock.....

So for me its either wait patiently for the facelift, or look now for the right MY14.5/15/15.5

In view of the imminent facelift, Brand new Floor stock MY16 would be out of the question

A few years ago I had a problem with my FFRR when abroad. I was treated in a pretty shabby way by the LR dealer. When I complained back in the UK (and I do not often complain) I was told that in many countries LR is a franchised operation. Therefore no direct control. I would have hoped that had changed by now, but maybe not according to our friends in OZ. 2019 D5 HSE Lux SDV6 Indus
