Hi there, what code readers are you guys using. I want to get one but want a decent one that works with the l322. I have a 2005 SC full fat.

Cheers

Mart, welcome to the forum!

It is well documented accross the forum that the GAP IIDTool is the best ODB code reader for the FFRR's.

More infor can be found here:https://www.gap-diagnostic.com/products/iidtool/

You can occasionally find one in our for sale section of the forum Thumbs Up

Good luck. Jordan

If you don't go gap and decide on a cheaper one which claims to read ALL the codes, make sure they have a return policy as a lot that say they will, won't... Rolling Eyes

The IID is undoubtedly the best out there but is not cheap, one good thing is that you will get a lot of your money back when you sell the car as second hand prices are strong... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Pete

I have an iCarsoft i930. It seems to read all the codes, it's make for the Land Rover range. You can interrogate all systems, or just the one you want, you can view live data and clear errors. Unlike the IID, you can't set custom parameters. It was £90 ish, and does what I need. It's not locked to a vehicle and is also a generic OBDII reader for any other (modern) vehicle.

I need a code reader for my Series 3 Landy. I think it just needs to be able to suck through it's teeth and order parts.

I also have the icarsoft i930. Price was the main issue for me and being able to use on any Land Rover or Jag with no vin lock. I got mine for 80 pounds on offer. I can only say it has been super useful on my L322 and a mates Disco 2. Seems to cover everything and is updatable foc but is limited to reading and erasing errors plus live data. It cant change any parameters but thats not a major issue. 2007 TDV8 VSE

I'm with Mr_spock on this one.

When I first got my L323, I was on a budget, and as far as getting it going I needed to view the codes in the air suspension and work out why it stayed inactive!

Bought the iCarSoft for £99, picked it up the same day from Oxford, with in twenty minutes my air suspension was running flawlessly! Turned out the compressor had been unplugged, and a height sensor had been changed and just needed a re set!

I do plan to get an iid tool when the Mrs is off Maternity leave, but for the price it cost me is roughly the same as a trip to the dealer, plus I'm covered until I upgrade it!

Quick question. Will the icarsoft tool reset the service indicator on a L322.
Thanks. Paul

As far as I know, on my 2003 L323 it's a few button presses to reset... May be wrong but worked on my car

I too have the icarsoft i930. I also have an Autel MD802 all system reader. This is useful for other cars in the family and I occasionally use it (for donations) for work colleagues. The advantage over the i930 is that ir will read TPMS if fitted. The amount of info it returns about the full fat is unbelievable.

Most vehicles with electronic digital mileometer's will have a way to reset the service counter. As Stacker says, it's usually a few button presses. Probably says in the manual or, if like me you can never find it when you need it, just google it. Thumbs Up 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography
