United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

I had the Vredestein Wintrac 4Xtremes on the 2007 TDV8 I had last winter and they were amazing gripping the snow like tarmac and leaving deep but perfect footprints in the snow.

They were quiet on tarmac and seemed to grip very well in the dry. Highly recommended from Camskill.co.uk with next day delivery. I put them on the 2010 19" Vogue wheels and they looked fab.

thats exactly what Ive been looking at....they even do them in a 20" so I may just fit them for now and leave them on until next summer, then pick up another set of 20" with summer tyres on, if need be

lots of options Smile cheers

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I have had Wintracs on 20" wheels since October 2009 and have used them right through the year in everything from the snow around Aviemore over the winter, the spring rain storms and the hot (ish) summer days. I think they are a superb tyre and I think the wear rates are similar to all the common makes. I also got mine from Camskil for about £135 delivered.

another vote for the Vreds, can't fault them and my vehicles are used off road daily, both solo and towing.

As the name says they are Wintracs - i.e. winter / snow / ice and track, they also stick to summer roads well...

if you want more info go onto Martins D3 forum, there are hundreds of posts on the Vreds in the tyre section

we also run Vreds on Tractors and other equipment

Mine (yes it's arrived!) has Pirelli Scorpions. THis is the standard factory fit from LR at the moment.

Don't know how good they'll be in the snow/off-road yet - will find out in the next week (well the snow part at least)

Switched wheels today to 19's with Wintracs, got them from AJS 4x4 (a sponsor of the D3 forum) who provided a fantastic service.

Was on Overfinch Tiger's 22's (with brand new tyres) last winter and coped fine (never even saw the traction conrtol kick in!) so looking forward to seeing what difference the Wintracs make!

Obviously the first thing I've noticed is the improvement in ride quality, although I've got used to the ride on the Overfinch's and it's not really as bad as people make out.

Cheers
Rory

There is no 'Best all round tyre' for the UK climate.

We should be brought into line with our Scandinavian neighbours and made to change onto winter tyres at this time of year, after all our climate is not that different to theirs
