Timed climate control

Hi,my 2008 Tdv8 Vogue's timed climate control worked fine earlier this year during the winter, now when I set the timer nothing happens, when I use the manual switch on immediately button I hear the fans for a minute or so then they stop and I hear a whirring from behind the battery or glove box from inside the car for a few more mins, then silence,I've temporarily removed fuse 59 for a few mins to see if it resets anything to no avail.I definitely have pre heat fitted as it worked fine earlier as mentioned, has anyone please got any advice or solutions before the joy of winter is on us,brrr!Thankyou 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

it may be too warm at the moment for it to turn on, it wont bother igniting if the temp is above a certain figure, which I can't remember off the top.

Edit, that said mine fired up..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Mine is doing this too, its the battery in my case. The battery starts the car just fine but is apparently too low a voltage to run the heater. I have proved it by leaving a C-Tek charger on overnight and the heater starts up and runs fine. BMW i3 Electric Car

Thanks guys,I've tested my battery this evening as the car hasn't moved today so I should get an accurate resting voltage i think? The voltage is 11.8v engine off, which suggests it's fubared, though puzzlingly still starts the engine sharpish.I try charging the battery overnight then see IF the heater fires up correctly, incidentally is there such a thing as a nice easy way to charge the battery in situ by simply connecting a plug into the car towing socket wired from a 12v charger to put juice IN instead of crocodile clips onto the battery or would relays etc wired in prevent that method? 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

Well I'm stumped over this climate heating! Confused It seems to work only if the wind is blowing from the north and there is a Q in the month!!
I've read low fuel stops it working,so I've kept topped up,I've ensured the battery is fully charged, temp here has been below the requisite 16c yet it still only works when it feels like it,so does the fault lie with the webasto itself or its pump, but why work sporadically if so?If it senses a low diesel level and cuts off, does it need to bleed air out once that fuel is available again? As a great man than me once said"There are more questions than answers" especially with these heaters.
