you dont have to struggle with a 55 in the spare.....use a space saver wheel or one of the original 50 profiles as a spare....

I go green laning in mine hence the full size spare with matching tyre.

so for your greenlaning expedition you stick the full size spare in the boot, take it out when you get back..

saves the hassle of trying to fit a 55 into the spare wheel well... ... - .- -.

Its more if a hassle lifting it in and out what could be every other weekend than deflating it and getting it into the spare wheel well, might only have to take it out once or maybe never but I know it’s there, fitted securely and fit for purpose.

I’d also avoid running a 255/50/20 and a 255/55/20 at the same time if you like your diffs. Wink 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

use the 50 'just' in case you get a puncture on your 55 and the likelihood of that happening with those chunky tyres will be low....like using a space saver to get you to a tyre shop or home....obviously at a reduced speed.. ... - .- -.

I wouldn’t consider this as a significant problem for a short trip to a tyre fitter. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
