United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Indus Silver

During my factory tour just before Christmas, and as someone has pointed out already, there were plenty of built 2018 FFRR’s. We were also told that there is no storage space on site at Solihull for built cars so if I was in the shoes of stillrunning I would be asking 1/ if my car was built on 14th December why haven’t I got it yet and 2/ where the hell is being kept then! Shocked

LR have a huge airfield where they can store thousands of cars. I remember seeing so many XJs there when I was visiting.

There were several hundred New shape Discoveries stored at the NEC in Birmingham prior to launch/export in the summer last year so they do have the resources to stockpile built stock.

If they keep you waiting much longer there is a nice Loire Blue my 17 with 1500 miles on the clock at £95k -autobiography
I’m sure they will take a bid Smile Inchcape Preston. RR official site. A black A/B at £90k and a staggering 50miles

Or

A few vogue se, for 75ish and under 500 miles

I know it’s not a my18 but..... just drop it into the conversation- it’s got to be worth a few quid off your one Whistle Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Went to my dealer today and sat in the showroom was a 2018 FF which they’d managed to get hold of.

It was a 4.4 Vogue HSE in a metallic grey, black roof, privacy glass and black pack, running on black 22 inch wheels.

Interior was black with ivory bits, and piano black.

Looked fabulous Bow down and someone will be very happy. I’d probably not go for 22s though, but that’s just personal choice.

Initial thoughts were how smart the new dash/ infotainment unit looks, and how comfortable the new seats are. The leather was truly sumptuous and a definite improvement. The seat adjusters on the door are to me more natural, downside is that the nice “secret” door storage pockets have gone.

The seat pockets in the back of the front seat were a bit odd, maybe 4 inches tall from the bottom of the seat - may struggle to keep a map in there.

But overall a great environment in which to be.

My dealer reckoned that the vehicles have been built and are stock piled to ensure all dealers can get an early consignment, should be deliveries to dealers started in the next 10 to 14 days.

Anyhow that’s about it, but I was glad to see one in the flesh and be able to prod and poke it at last.

Just got off the phone from the dealer, their demo car has arrived today and Land Rover have now released my order.
They have asked for the earliest delivery date.
I did ask what advantage would there be to hold off for March and they have said not a great deal as new model.
If there was any difference in price in 3/4 four years they would honour the difference, this I will get in writing from them
On Thursday I will have a definitive date for delivery.
Can t wait

OK, so electric seat adjustment down by the side of the seat like normal and with memory buttons on the door to allow you easy access to your stored seat setting. Nicely hidden away from your daily vision.
Now, I don't know about anyone else but once my seat is set to my exact liking I don't tend to change apart from the occasional adjustment and when the wife uses the car she pokes button number 2 and lo and behold the seat fits her perfectly, so why do they feel that having all the ugly seat controls on the door is progress when, in my opinion, they don't get used. Seems to me like a cheap 'upgrade' and a step back in aesthetics.

Hang on next year let's move the bonnet release onto the door panel as well, keep all them MY19 potential buyers happy with their upgrade! Whistle

Anyone else think the same or is it just me...

If moving the seat adjustment was the only update I'd have to agree but there have been other changes

Well well my car has left the factoryl and on its way to the dealer.
It will be ready to collect on or around the 4th February.
I have said to them I won't collect the car now until 1st March to get the 18 plate, spoke too many people who said I was daft not to put it off until March.
I hope those guys who are getting theirs soon are delighted with what they get.
Steve
