2019 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Aintree Green

I think the current BRG is a bit too obvious in comparison with the previous dark greens (Ardennes, Epsom, Galway, Aintree etc). Half-considered wrapping as an alternative, but it’s ridiculous that a decent green is no longer available - Land Rovers are supposed to be green!

AJA

Thanks for the reply.

The new colour is very like Aintree, I've seen it on a Sport and the video below shows it. It might have more sparkle in the sun than Aintree but it isn't overwhelming I wouldn't have thought. Besides where I live it'll be covered in mud most of the time!! Rolling with laughter

I see what you mean about the colour in the "still" for the video though, but I have a picture of my Disco 4 which looks very blingy too, but it's Aintree. Thanks

You're right Trommel, it's absolute madness - No matter how far you go up the expensive paint chart in build, there's not one single regular green! Very disappointing.

I agree, ridiculous, but I'm afraid most LR products are sold for export or to townspeople who maybe don't have the same "nostalgia" for green.

I'd still like a conversation with the LR hierarchy though!! Thumbs Up

I know what you mean Chalky - I think it does only really show the sparkles in the sun and based on the fact that the sun only shines here around 3 days per year, you can probably live with that.

Be sure to post us some pictures when your car arrive and enjoy Thumbs Up

I'm still unsure whether or not to cancel my order - Currently considering instead, a used Wraith and used Aintree FFRR - Question is, do I really need two cars.

I believe he says in his video that it’s a Special Option Ultra Metallic Green, sorry about that but I’m getting a bit obsessive about colours as I can’t nail down the colour for my new order Thud Thud

I might start a new thread to find out everyone’s opinion as it’s driving me gaga Big Cry

The problem is, because it’s such a big car get the colour wrong and you’re done for.

United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Aintree Green

I’d have absolutely no doubts about the premium BRG shade at all, I’d be very happy with either that, or the Aintree that I’ve already got.

Oddly, one trader that I spoke to wouldn’t consider buying my old Aintree Green D4 HSE Lux as it “wasn’t an easy sale”, while the one that did by it from me sold it so someone who’d scoured the country for an Aintree Green one and was happy to pay the price.

It seems to be one of those colours that arent common, but those that want it, really want it and won’t be distracted! Thumbs Up

It's not on the configurator, but in past brochures (I have 2015) there was an option 'Customer sample - price on request'. I expect that the SV paintshop could do one of the historic colours, and as they will be available for repair of existing cars perhaps they are not as ridiculously expensive as one might imagine a bespoke paint would be. Your dealer should be able to find out, if not I have a recollection that one can contact SV direct.

AJA500 - not an immediate solution, but would the Cullinan meet your one car objective? Only Range Rovers since 1988

It's not a special option, its under premium metallic on the car builder. I think it will be fine, if you can wait to make a decision on your order, I'll have mine in a couple of weeks and will post pics.

My second colour would have been Carpathian, think it looks great, but as I'm a country boy I have always liked green Whistle
