OK so has anybody ever had a quote to replace a front leather seat cover with a replacement LR leather cover?

by your reckoning i should check everything online first?

Yes!

You can't go to Harrods and then come home and say "well darling, this caviar is rather expensive, I won't be going there again!"

As you say, it's a premium brand; which has a premium price tag.

If you want to run a Range Rover on a budget - then be prepared to use your eyes and spend 7 seconds typing a part number into google!

If you're not prepared to make the effort then don't complain about the cost FFS!

So you don't shop around? You just buy the first thing you see and just take the salesman in front of you at face value?

I think my dad told me a replacement leather seat cover for my 2002 model was something like £70 + vat. We were both surprised it was that cheap tbh. That was for the bit you sit on that always get damaged. Back of seat was something like £80 + vat. FFRR TD6 HSE

"crying rape by dealer"

Obviously that was the most serious comment. No underlying humour there at all. Rolling Eyes

Thanks that's very helpful. Are they easy to fit or is it a specialist only job?

I was surprised too, also the foam cushion underneath the leather that gives the seat its shape is very cheap.

Certainly worth considering as the seats do wear badly. £160 to replace all the leather on the drivers seat for example is a bargain if you want to sell the car in "best" condition.
