L405 corrosion

I am considering undersealing my L405 SDV8. Has anyone done this and what product did you use? Would it affect an approved used warranty? Did you coat dynamic response and brake pipes?

Done mine with waxoyl, don’t have a warranty so no worries there, I covered all the pipes and steel bits then gave the rest a coat too, that was last year, I’ll put her up on the ramp soon and see how its looking. I have a compressor so used a Schultz gun and plastered it on. You can soon get through 5 litres. IMO its well worth doing and takes about a day if you remove all the plastic bits under the sills and the under trays Thumbs Up

Dave,
Mine is an L322, not an aluminium L405, but I had it fully treated underneath after removing all plastic sills, underside covers etc., but mine was done with Dinitrol rather than Waxoyl. 6 years ago.
The mechanic who did the MOT last year said he had never seen an L322 like it, better than when it was new , he said.
I would definitely recommend anyone planning to keep their L405 for several years to get it done.

Mike, I’ve heard good reports about dinitrol but not used it at the time I did the FF, I had some waxoyl left in my garage so used it up on mine, but we’ve just had some delivered at work so will be interesting to see if any difference between the two, we do a lot of farm vehicles so they get the maximum hammer and covered in all sorts of substances!!
Next year will be interesting when they return for MOT and service work as we offer both now as a customer choice.
