Heated cooled seats

I know this isn’t a new topic but does anyone have the test procedures wiring, resistances etc for the peltier unit so I can test the resister and unit? Mine is coming on when cold but cuts off when warm?

Thanks

Start here, a big read:

Also worth a look:

https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic49757.html

This is a failed attempt by me to use Peltier from a Ford Mustang with looked identical and I fitted it back into the LR housing but it (eventually) also cut on after a few mins on heat. This being a new peltier, I think the control unit must be very fussy with values.

Lastly, there is a decent section with all the specs, test procedures etc in the WM, PM Stan and with a site donation you can get it.

It's one to crack because these go too easily and at £225 a unit, bear in mind two units per seat, there must be a cheater fix. Let us know please!
. Cheers, Greg

IT`s more like your plastic ducting has a crack across it which is a common fault, that gives you the working on cold but not warm?

Ah yes, mechanical failure is the first thing to go.

On the seat back unit as Tinman says the ducting can crack. I fixed up my cracked ducting but the peltier would not heat so I had to replace it.

On the seat bottom, there is a soft ducting system and this can go too. I also fixed my soft ducting but still had to replace the peltier unit.

. Cheers, Greg

The seat base unit is annoying to get to because to get the one last screw that holds it in, you need to take the whole seat base cover, cushion, sides everything off.

I did manage to do this without removing the seat though.

I must say, I was enjoying the cooling today with this fine weather!
