No, but I find the LOWER button on the driver's door handy.

Yes but by the time I get to press the button somebody has already opened their door which cancels it .

I have my tool unlocked with the whole CCF catalogue. I'll take a look when I get a chance and see if there's anything in there.

Press the door button as you slow.

From the owner's manual...

Once the speed falls below 20 km/h (12 mph) the vehicle will be partly lowered. When the speed falls below 8 km/h (5 mph) within 1 minute, full access height will be reached.

I'd avoid unnecessary suspension lowering and raising to preserve the life of the compressor. If you need help getting in and out then maybe concider some sidesteps? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Had no problems with my compressor last 12 years
Did have side steps…quite an expensive dealer option but they failed / seized and concluded they were an overpriced option - would not have made the same choice again
On the other hand my old bones do need preserving, as do those of the wife and mother-in-law
My air springs up front have both failed over time. Not sure if access mode exercises the bags and extends their life

So i put my car in access mode EVERY time i park it
Not just easier to get in and out my my old bones, but also makes it easier to lift stuff in and out of the boot

Been messing around with quite a many different kind of cars for a quite a many years and my experience is that the more you have features you never use, the more they will fail when eventually trying to use.

Auto dropping came with the 2016MY L405 IIRC....

I've always dropped mine, just do it as your slowing down to stop, it's then done it by the time you stop, if someone does open the door then it will drop when you are all out and the doors are shut, at the very least it's low when you want to get back in...

I've used the feature on all of mine, can't say I've had to replace the pumps more often than others seem to but I guess it will have reduced it's life somewhat....

If things didn't wear out I'd have nothing to do....  Pete

Bought my Fatty 18 months ago and I am not afraid to use every aspect of this terrific machine when required.

I was aware of the possible running costs of these vehicles having done a lot of research before purchase and I budgeted £1000 to about £1500 per annum to keep it on the road if necessary.
So far I've spent about £1500 over the past18 months on - replace oil cooler, new air con. condenser, full gearbox and transmission service and fuel sender repair (all done by indy garages) Oh and two rear tyres

This of course does not include road tax ripoff and insurance.

All told well worth the pleasure I get from this 12 year old.  RR owner

Mine gets lowered when parked at home and when parking when my wife with her dud back is in the car. It also gets raised 35mm for driving my 2km rough driveway and at least the same if not off-road height or even super-extended height anytime the council road is a series of bog-holes. All airsprings have been replaced after becoming porous from the rubber rolling up and down on dried gritty mud (now regularly hosed-out at super-extended height) but the compressor is still original, although I suppose that I've jinxed it now!

Dropping it makes it harder for the barstewerds to nick your Cat as well.
