Not sure if anyone else has the same problem but the trim that runs along under windscreen where the wiper arms come out of has discoloured quite abit and now is a very light grey and does not look good. What would be best to bring this piece of trim back to life.

Mine is the same, the plastic is a very dull Matt finish grey now. Any suggestions to spruce it up welcome. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

remove it and repaint it Saturn black, makes a big difference, its not hard to remove just need a puller to remove the wiper arm bases. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

You could even get the paint code for its original colour and repaint it grey ....I'm sure scarey had the paint code  "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

A reasonably long lasting fix is to warm the plastic with a hot air (paint stripper) gun. Done gently it releases more of the oils in the plastic to the surface. it is only as permanent as the original though, it does fade back to dull.

Another trick (even more temporary) is something like Aerospace 303 dressing. Works OK but only lasts a couple of months.

Autoglym bumper care will bring it back to black and also make the water bead off nicely. Does need to be reapplied every so often. I do mine about every 6 months, makes it look like new

You want some of this C4 amazing not cheap but will do the job and is permanent.

+1 for C4 I did it and it lasted ages though it's not actually permanent despite what it said. Having said that if you prep the trim BEFORE it goes grey it does block the UV light, as always prevention is better than cure.

Mer rubber/plastic dressing works for me

+1 for the Mer bumper gel. Its probably the best stuff I've used for plastic things.

as crazy as it sounds i use black boot dubbing on mine, rub it on and leave it for a while then give it a gentle rub with a clean cloth. last ages and repels water lovely. i found after a few coats over a period of time it last longer before it fades, must soak in a little bit.
