Bad Parking

Not sure why LR owners are so bad at parking. FFRR owners seem to be the only good ones.

Tbh I am guilty of parking similar to above, I kinda feel I have a right to take up 2 spaces with all the motor tax I pay well over a grand here in emerald isle. Plus I have the wee baba to get in and out Razz

The problem is that a standard size parking bay is just way too small these days. Crying or Very sad

I'm rather fortunate in that the public multi-storey carpark I use for work has around 4-5 extra-width bays on all floors. I use them all the time when driving the FFRR or wifey's E55.

As above when out shopping with the nippers i use the family bays at the like of sainsburys and so on.

When elsewhere if im on my own the passenger side gets parked about 2" from the car next to it, right on the line sometimes, so they dont even try to squeeze down the side of the FF scratching the paintwork then chipping it opening there door and forcing it against the paintwork as they try and squeeze into the tiny door gap into their vehicle.

1 guy a time back tried to have a go at me as i was right on the line. Simply took him round the drivers side of the FF and showed him how much space there was, about 1', and he still carried off so in the end i just said to him 'after all this ranting you could simply have reversed out by now and your embarrassed partner and teenage son could be in your car and on your way by now' and with the size of his mrs there was no way an extra few inchs would have helped her unless i'd been driving a smart car!

Diagonal parking is also a good thing as it makes others come in and out of the space straight instead of trying to swing round sometimes Smile

Even parrallel(sp?) parking is sometimes fun but with the sensors i get in and often come back to find a clean line on the tow ball cover Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
