United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE Td6 Buckingham Blue
Front Windscreen Wiper Arm

I have a 2006 my TD6, whilst driving in light rain the driver side wiper stopped vertically whilst the passenger side continued. I initially thought the nut holding the arm onto the splined shaft had loosened. I stopped, mover the arm back to horizontal and noticed the shaft rotated as normal.

Further investigation would appear to suggest the "bush" that connects the wiper arm to the motor via a connecting rod is worn and simply pulled off. I phoned my local dealer and he tells me £140 plus VAT as I have to buy the whole connecting rod and wiper arm assembly. Shocked

This seems crazy as it appears to ne a simple press fit bush.
I've tried the search but can't find anything so hopefully has anyone come across this or come up with a cheaper fix? any help much appreciated.

No driving in the rain for now Sad Sad

Thanks Aston Martin V8 Vantage

or if you dont want to but a whole unit drill throught the centre and put a split pin through, stops the two seperating again.

Be careful drilling it as the spline is steel but the mount is horrible cheap case alloy.

Breakers yard?

To be fair I'd probably take Dan's offer £110 is a relatively cheap fix for these things! rule 1: call Dan!

Shoddy behaviour of LR to not offer repair or refurb kits- but not altogether surprising!
