I have a 2006 my TD6, whilst driving in light rain the driver side wiper stopped vertically whilst the passenger side continued. I initially thought the nut holding the arm onto the splined shaft had loosened. I stopped, mover the arm back to horizontal and noticed the shaft rotated as normal.

Be careful drilling it as the spline is steel but the mount is horrible cheap case alloy.
