Has anyone fitted on of these?

Hoping for a bit of feedback, having gone up to the 2010, and now back to the 2006, I feel a bit bereft of DAB and the audio connectivity. Land Rover Addict

I know the feeling for missing DAB Sad

Always thought it was a very small market for the MOST operated systems in the middle aged L322's Smile

Hmmm looks nice, but I would prefer touch screen, not some remote device for control. Cheers Smile Land Rover Addict

Do these units work with the terrain response system and the dash buttons etc?

Paul.

I wonder if you can do it with a touchscreen Android device, like a Galaxy Tab/LG etc. (the 7 inch version ??) they are touchscreen and run on Android.

What I am wondering about, what happens to the original functionality of the FFRR Touchscreen, does that remain ?? If so, it is a great modification. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

These are designed as replacemnts for the E39 and E53 BMWs. This is the older iBus system (pre touch screen). There are a couple of forum members who have these installed but the only time I would consider this is for an early L322 RR w/o satnav. The first series to come out of China were pretty trashy but they seem to have gotten better. Search for satnav and user pretlove.

Neil, hang on a bit (a week or 2). I am working on arranging a bit of kit for this - OEM style touch input.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

I've been looking into this as well, but not your featured unit.

Called a few local companies. One told me Intravee was outmoded and not supported and then quoted me for a Pioneer unit with touchscreen that does DAB, nav, iPod etc. Replacement tuner and installation for.......... wait for it........

£2,400!

So called somewhere else and had the opposite reaction and a quote for a hidden DAB decoder working through FM, but with full current steering wheel functionality and a rear-window mounted aerial for a more reasonable £340 fitted. Told me to persevere with Intravee (currently driving me nuts, but that's because I have no idea how to create playlists, so I get the same 20 or 30 tunes constantly repeated Big Cry ) and the FM system works pretty well.

Steve, am I right in reading your post as you should be having a DAB kit that replaces the current unit? If so, can you please tell us more? i.e. Should we hang on for your solution? Si. <This is my name.

No it's not a replacement, it's an add on unit that functions through the original system. I'm not sure on all specs yet.
I'll post as soon as I know more.

Anything playing via an FM modulator loses a large amount of sound quality. FM has a frequency range several hundred Hz less than the 20-20k normally considered standard for a hifi system. You can hear the difference.
