SE Confusion.

New chap here! After doing some searching I’m still confused.

I’m looking at a leggy, 2002, 2 owner 4.4V8 being advertised as an SE.

Am I correct in saying this was a ‘poverty spec’ model that has subsequently been dropped?

If so could anyone confirm some specification details? The main ones that are must have’s are:
Isofix
Rear Parking Sensors

To be honest I can live without a lot of the other options.

Many thanks for your time. The site is a credit to the contributors.

Cheers

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

I think there was a SE spec for a couple of years when the model was first introduced but was then dropped.

From memory, I think the SE was the entry level at launch

The SE spec was the entry level brought over from the P38 model and in line with other Land Rover models at the time of launch of the L322 in 2002.

They still use the SE spec in the Range Rover Sport, FL2 and Discovery.

It was deemed too basic for the FFRR and they needed to keep the price and spec levels on a seperate plane to others to keep that uniqueness and class.

If you can live with one it should be a cheap car. Discovery 4 HSE
