Windshield wiper problem

The wipers on my 08 won't return to the down position when switched off but stop mid windshield.Just started yesterday. Anything I can do? Dealer is 3 hours away. Thanks! MM

Maybe try disconnecting the battery (see tutorials) to get the car to reset the electrics. Tom
