Button Under Steering Wheel

hi guys, just been taking mats out and brushing the carpet, when i noticed underneath steering wheel where the footwell light is, a small rocker switch.

does anyone know what this is for please??

i had something similar in size mounted on the B pillar in my Touareg, it was for turning the interior sensor off instead of pressing the key fob twice, is this perhaps the same thing just in a different place?? Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

It restricts performance during transportation, if you look near to your battery there should also be a couple of small wires knocking around there which are now disconnected.

Once the car is prepared at the dealership it becomes redundant.
