Digital tv and autotuning

Hi. New to this, but hope someone out there can help us.

We have today installed a new digital tv tuner (Jaguar/LR part) in place of the old analogue one. Phew - virtually had all of left hand side of back of car out, but it all went back in and everything is working.

One small problem is that the tv now won't autotune.

Have we done something wrong or is it that we are not digital yet. Done it for when we change over - we live just outside London and aren't converting until end of April beginning of May - has this something to do with it.

Or is it just that its a really lengthy process and we are being too impatient as have been used to just the 5 channels.

Help .......

Confused

When I fitted mine (we haven't switched over yet either) it auto tuned straight away.

Maybe try driving a few hundred yds and try again.

Thanks for your quick reply.

My husband has just gone out in it anyway, so maybe it will have tuned by time he's back.

Do hope so.

Will keep you posted.

london is still analogue so the digital it is transmitting is of a low power.....as suggested ,if you move to higher ground you should get something, if not re-check the connections.. ... - .- -.

Check all the connections again.... Especially the Bluetooth module.. Check you have not damaged a pin on it.. Can your mobile phone pick up the bluetooth signal? Previously..

cheers guys, turns out it was the same problem last time we fitted something, blew a fuse! lol was the 5a for the telephone system and it threw the whole system out. replaced that and its all fine now, got a picture straight off.
