Hydraulic lifter removal ?

Has anyone removed their lifters - am I right in assuming it's quite a big job Sad

What is a hydraulic lifter? .

I would try some flushing oil in it then drain and refill with a cheap oil, bring up to temperature, then drain and refill with a good quality oil. Easier than stripping the tappets out

I was going to do that when I recently changed the oil. I actually bought the flush, but got put off after 'googling' Shocked
