Static on radio and aux channels only

2007 TDV8 FFRR

When radio (all bands) and aux inputs are selected there is now a wall of static over the top of the sound.

Strangely enough this does not occur when CDs are selected

Have done a search and haven't come across anyone with the same problem.

Anybody got any ideas?

Many thanks,
dw

Have you got anything plugged into the accessory sockets - like a charger? .

If that's what fixed it, that's what fixed it - but it sounds completely illogical!

Our current problem does correspond with getting an enormous stone chip on the windscreen, so maybe it is connected to the heating elements failing...

I don't suppose they explained how it fixed the problem??

Something to do with the aeriel connections are somewhat linked to the rear window elements …

TBH i never really bothered going into great detail with them about it , they said it needed a new rear windscreen so i just let them get on with it …. problem with interference solved Thumbs Up

Having had 3 replacement windscreens in 2 years on this vehicle we're not rushing to replace it again for now!
