Squealing/chirping tyres

When I corner sometimes I get tyre squeal - either on roundabouts, or spirited driving on B roads, I don't recall this with previous cars, so I'm wondering if it's because the vehicle is 15mm lower than standard.

Does anyone else get this issue? I can't see anything wrong with the tyres, and after 4500 miles there is no appreciable wear on any particular part of the tread. Land Rover Addict

Types of tyres can also cause this - American cars (in America) on American tyres tend to do this more than UK cars on UK tyres. Apparently (according to my mate at Dunlop Racing) American Tyres contain more Nylon in the mix than UK tyres - and therefore chirp and squeal more.

These are Pirelli Scorpions - I'll recheck the pressures, but obviously the heat does make a difference when checking the pressure Smile

(Had these tyres on my old 5.0SC and didn't notice it, but then .... I think I ran the stereo louder!) Land Rover Addict
