Central locking gremlins???

Ever since i bought the car the remote central locking hasn't worked from the key fob, i've always locked and unlocked the car with the key in the door (Vogue 2003 4.4V8). I've tried syncing using the ignition on off within 5secs BCU mode and then program key that way, doors lock and unlock quickly and then i immediately turn the ignition on again....it works for about 5 mins with the fob but then it seems to forget the keyfob. I've done it numerous times but all with the same results. In fact yesterday was better it lasted for about an hour - to which i thought yes finally it works Confused I've searched and searched the different forums (this is the best one Very Happy ) and i can't find an answer to my problem...has anyone had the same problem if so what was your fix?

I've sent my BCM data to Storey Wilson and he says he can't anything wrong in the data string from the RAC. Plus my stereo FM reception has just taken a dive - connected?

Standing by for someone to say have you searched.....in answer to that I have honestly searched

I had a similar fault in a Discovery I owned.
Turned out the aerial lead wasn't connected to the ecu.
Different system in an FFRR but I would be inclined to look at the connections to the RF receiver and the aerial amplifier.
Could even be a fault on either of these components.
Located in the boot but where exactly I don't know. Very Happy
