Flat Battery?

Hi all,
Had my MY2010 5.0 Autobiography for a few months now and its been fantastic (moved from a RRS). Anyway, went away for a few weeks and when I went to use the car yesterday I press the remote and nothing happens. Doors wont unlock - dead! I'm guessing the battery is dead. Is this normal after leaving the car unused for a few weeks? Is a call out to LR Assistance the best option?
Thanks.

its a big problem with RR loads have had this problem its the amount of cpu evelectrics etc that it uses. i had it so i bought the biggest battery i could get on my car and if i leave it for a few days i still get the inactive suspension error because the batt is low Censored

pain in the arse to be fair but its the joys of having a RR

you could try the solar panel from maplins that plugs in to help slow the battery drain down

My FFRR can sit for 6-8 weeks without turning a wheel and I have never had a battery problem yet Whistle

Intersting read, Do you know how you can get into the car when the remote nor the key physically opens the door?

Umm are you sure Mick?

I was told that none of the current crop of FFRR's have or ever will have keyless entry. yes we have keyless ignition with the stop start button but not keyless entry.

The reason for this? Well apparently it's because if LR fitted keyless entry to the 2010/11 or 12 models it would mean different locks and therefore a whole new bunch of crash tests Shocked
