| Aftermarket part to replace spendy original silencer? | |
Hello all. A friend who manages a local indy LR shop saw me driving the FF. His comment was that parts are too spendy. That big rear silencer, for example, he claims costs 1600€ in France.

My first thought was "why pay so much for a standard replacement?" I often weld up my own exhaust systems on other vehicles. Our Pug famvan sports a custom home-made shorty 2.5" SuperTurbo system, for example.
I have 3" diameter stainless tube on hand. I can buy a 3" diameter aluminised or stainless silencers by MagnaFlow or another maker. The inlet/outlet configurations are manifold  as are sizes. As a plus, the exhaust tone should be a bit fuller. SummitRacing.com ships to yurrup now.
Has anybody replaced their stock rear Td6 silencer with an alternative product?
