Been watching this with a lot of interest and am going to get this amp upgrade done, too.

I assume removing the amp is an easy unplugging / unscrewing job? Few minutes work? Si. <This is my name.

Removing the amp is easy, just a bit more than a few mins, if you follow RAVE, more like 10 to 15. If you look on the pictures I posted about amp location, I have put a screenshot from RAVE, if you don't have it.

Essentially you just have to remove the plastic tray thats under the carpet near the amp to ease access.

If you need more, let me know and I'll Post more.

I thought I would do an update on this thread.

I have now managed to connect a bluetooth device that can stream music directly from your phone.

Also, managed to make an ipod/iphone cable that will play music and charge your device.

All done via bm54 unit.

Right, so, i will explain a bit a better

I modify things inside the bm54, take certain connections which powers up a Bluetooth device, which can then be paired with your phone. So whatever music you play with your phone, it will stream through the bm54. It uses the auxiliary mode.

Yes i add it to the inside of the unit. Take power and auxiliary input from inside the unit.
