Leather seat base replacement.

Anyone ever replace the leather seat base. My car is mint inside but the drivers seat lets it down a bit so i would like to fit a new seat base to have it even better looking. I have seen these on the bay and they are not too dear. Just wondering if it is an easy DIY job or is it best to leave to the pros ?

Thanks

Simple enough job, best fit a new foam seat at the same time. The hardest part is refitting the rings that hold the leather in place

42p2, do you have the seat base cover and foam rough prices in mind by any chance?

Please confirm the heating part stays separated from the leather cover

A good Connelly Leather Specialist will probably be able to make your seat look like new for much less than replacing.

Mine was starting to lose a bir of colour on the door edge, bought a small pot of leather paint from the bay of e, easy job looks much tidier. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I did my rear seat bases a few months ago using the covers from that I bought off ebay, similar to these:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RANGE-ROVER-VOG...1746wt_952

They were even cheaper then, it is a real pity that I cannot find any front bases.

It is quite a straight forward job I ended up using cable ties instead of the hog rings that were on there originally.

England 2016 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Causeway Grey

just found that the edge of my seat base, drivers side, is wearing badly. Sad
the leather is begining to fray or rub away where the piping is.
looks like the fraying is in the crease on the side
car is only 12 months old with 16000 miles so this will be going back to stratstone MK.
i know where this is going to lead. Whistle
cant do it under warranty sir as LR wont authorise it.
then i will have to get onto LR customer care, who won't return my call, and finally after numerous emails and phonecalls the will do it as a gesture of goodwill.
by that time i will be severely Censored off with landrover and then be all despondent with the brand again Big Cry
