Technically and i mean really specifically technically the A1 showplates are not "legal" (i have a rear large one on my car tho) all plates require an originators code to be printed on them in small letters in the corner of the plate otherwise they do not comply. (check your plates there will be one)

I have used them in the past and passed mots and i doubt that the law would take a dim view of them, but as the site states they are for display use only.
