2006 Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged Zambezi Silver
FFSC Holidaying in Skye (More Pics)

Thought you might like to see the trip we went today for a spot of lunch....... Very Happy

We drove from Portree down to Kylerhea and took the smallest ferry I have ever seen or been on over to Glenelg. Its the last manually operated turntable ferry in Scotland and is over 40 years old www.skyeferry.co.uk

We went here for lunch: www.glenelg-inn.com and then returned on the ferry to enjoy this road and scenery...

Nearing the end of a fantastic two weeks on the Isle of Skye where we have had great weather, driven some amazing roads, enjoyed spectacular scenery and drank plenty cold beers and single malt

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green  Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

Great roads around that area...and no speed cameras Very Happy

Care is needed on the Isle of Skye though as the police often have hand held radar traps

We were on Skye last year in my 110. It rained rather a lot...

I found the staff at Talisker arrogant and their shop had little stock. That said, their malt is very good, but I won't be going back to the distillery.

And the mozzies had their razor-teeth fitted.

But it is a truly beautiful place and the drive there from Stirling was great. Si. <This is my name.

The whisky thing is probably best left for another topic, but we go to Glengoyne whenever we're up (near Lake of Menteith or just north of Glasgow) and they're so friendly and hospitable. Their tours accept children (even our bonkers baby daughter) and their malt ain't half bad - 21 year old and Teapot especially.

Agreed, we were unlucky last year with the weather. And we were camping. Mozzie nets are so unattractive dahling! Very Happy

But there is a plan to be back either in a rented motorhome or in a nice hotel with my FF. Si. <This is my name.
