Range Rover Bike Carrier Question VTG500020

I have bought a gen bike rack (VTG500020) off the bay for £50 that slots into the tow bar slot under the car, but it did not have a lockable securing pin or lock mechanism thing. I don't know what it would normally come with to fix it in place, so any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know if these are available separately or do I need to try and make one?

If you go over to the LR Topix website you can download the fitting instructions which should show you what should be in the package. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

From the instructions (clicky) it looks like a flanged bolt and a split pin Shocked

Would go with a suitable high-tensile bolt and nylok nut and carry a pair of ratchet spanners to wizz it off Smile

That is the old system, there is a newer different version - the old system was a little too easily removed from the back of the car while you weren't there! I'm not at home at the moment so cannot post a photo of the new one, I have both the old and the new carriers ............ and both are now surplus to requirements! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Long and wide enough bolt and then drill a hole through the end that protrudes big enough for a decent lock to fit through and then jobs a good en Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
