Under Bonnet sound insulation

Hi all,

Just thought I would top up the old screen wash and noticed a hole in the sound insulation on the bonnet. Has anyone had this before? looks weird, my mechanic thought could be vermin?
thanks

I live next to a field and have had 3 cars damaged by mice eating under-bonnet insulation etc.
Even had a family of mice settle into the lower part of the air filter housing in my Discovery. Used to go for a ride with me until I found them. Very Happy
One of the cars had a mouse eat its way into the car thro a rubber grommet thro the bulkhead and spend the winter in an under seat storage box.
Now I just put one of the Jack Russells in each car to find them for me. Very effective Laughing
