L405 Ride Height

I notice that in the promotional blurb on the L405 they make a big thing about it having the highest driving position of any car in its class. However what they neglect to mention is that it's 4cm lower than the L322! It's the equivalent of driving around in access height in the L322. I like the height of the existing one for seeing over hedges and walls in the country and traffic in the city and on the motorway. I am sure I will get used to it but even so I would prefer it to be the same height. I assume this is in the pursuit of more saloon like handling and improved aerodynamics but if I wanted a saloon I would buy a 5 series touring.

Is that not an Estate? Embarassed

I guess it may also be to do with reducing drag to improve Co2? I've not had a chance to drive one yet but will report back.

I think the ride height will still be higher than a 5 series Touring! 4cm is not a big deal.
