Display problem

The problem is that when I set adaptive cruise control the display does not show the usual cruise display as it did on my 2010 Vogue SE with adaptive, it instead goes to the 'distance' display, indicating that I am too close to the vehicle in front even when the road ahead is clear. Annoying because I am never sure exactly which speed I have set.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks Current car: 2012 FFRR Autobiography TDV8.

Re: Display problem

I believe the system may now have changed. By 'distance' display do you mean a picture of a Range Rover with arrows in front? If so that is for you to set how many chevrons apart you want to be from any other vehicle. I usually find one chevron is enough.

I do not know if the 10MY vehicles had this graphic.

Yes, that is exactly the screen appearance - the RR picture with the chevrons. It does of course disappear after a while and then when I increase or decrease the set speed, the normal 'speed set' information appears.

My 2010 Vogue SE with adaptive cruise gave this 'speed set' image immediately upon setting the cruise control, and also had the RR picture with chevrons whenever I encroached upon the set distance from the vehicle in front.
