I very rarely use it, but tried it a couple of days ago, got a dribble (from the washer!) then that was it.

The jet on the wiper arm will be blocked up with crud, a poor design |

I doubt if it's the jet but more as like the non return valve on the pipe just before the water goes into the wiper.

Could be different firmware given 4 years difference between cars. My handbook doesn't say how many squirts, but does say it will give 3 more wipes once the "washing" has finished. Maybe it depends on how long you hold the stalk against the spring for? .

Just replaced my rear washer arm as the joint had corroded preventing the spring from pressing the arm against the screen and the washer jets werent working properly, I thought it may have been the non return valve as to why i had no squirting however a new arm in position its working fine.
