Faulty wiring on PDC sensors

Hi All

Fortunately mine are still working but I have been searching the PDC problem and the wiring is a source of trouble. I've also seen the You tube video.
What causes the wiring to wear through. Is it a bad design or the layout is wrong.
Just trying to prepare myself for what would be the inevitable.

Thanks

And the wire Land Rover used was far too thin so in time goes brittle...
