Hi this may not be a problem but maybe it's something someone has experienced so is or isn't anything to worry about!

I've had my 2007 vogue se a week now and love it, just one thing I've noticed that I'm unsure of.

The car starts fine but does a kind of juddering motion. Someone suggested this maybe the air suspension recharging. However when I drive it it feels almost like its stuttering, black smoke although not a lot is also visible. It then rights itself and I drive off normally.
This only happens on a temporary basis the only thing I've noticed is the temperature being below 7 degrees.

Try some injector cleaner in the tank first.

Stick a couple of bottles of Forte Diesel Treatment in the fuel tank and give it an Italian Tune-up

Ok so doesn't sound like anything major!

Where do I get the treatment from and do I literally just pour it into the fuel tank like I would filing up with diesel? The full bottle???

Forte is available at some smaller garages and ebay

Pour it into the tank then top the tank up with fuel, run until t is almost empty before fuelling up again


This is assuming you have a diesel FFRR, if it's a petrol engine you need Forte Petrol Treatment

I every now and again use a fuel additive / injector cleaner.
In the last few diesels I've had anyway.
I use Wurth saBesto injector cleaner.
One can does 50 litres of Diesel, I usually put two cans in at the pump then fill up.
A very good friend also a mechanic and MOT tester swears by it.
Luckily he sells it to me for what he buys it in for. So it only costs me a tenner to treat a tank.

Sorry I meant it will be an expensive weekend implying I would be filing up and driving around until its empty.

I think I'm taking it into a dealer as I'm under warranty and have only had the car for 7 days its like its gasping for air. The judder has got worse since driving it tonight. So hopefully the dealer will sort it. Reckon its worth buying this then phoning them if it doesn't sort it?

I would be back at the dealer ASAP then, as well getting your money's worth out of the warranty.

Only problem is the one I bought it from is 6.5 hours away!

It's ok it's booked in for Tuesday in my local dealership. £117 diagnostics fee. Oh well at least I can get piece of mind when it goes in!

If you have bought an approved used car from Landrover then all the dealers should honour the warranty - get it sorted by Landrover at their cost, not yours

Looks like I have to pay a diagnostics fee of £117. If they find a problem and its a warranty fix I get my money back plus they fix it. However if they don't find anything then I suppose its good in one way as its nothing to worry about but bad it's cost me £117 to find nothing.

Glass is half full on this one. Just need piece of mind

Being told that this problem may have been caused from using diesel from a supermarket. Does anyone else fill up from their local supermarket without these problems ?
