Will iphone 3gs work on BMW ULF module (8th gen)

Has anyone managed to successfully pair an iphone 3gs with a retro-fitted BMW ULF module, specifically the 8th gen, or older?

I have been offered an iphone but when I try to pair it just drops the connection after 2-3 seconds.

Sounds like a software problem with the module (i.e. out of date)?

Any tips? Cheers

Greg

I'm not an expert here mate, but I do seem to remember an issue with firmware versions on the iphones........I'm sure people upgraded their firmware and then had issues with ULF's........

Could be wrong.

I'd stick "pairing iphone ulf" or similar into google and see what you get.

Will be loads of stuff on BMW forums if not on here.

Hi Mark

I think you may be right regarding the firmware problems. I've not had much joy with "googling" the problem, and I've looked at loads of threads on the BMW forums too. There's loads of stuff on iphones, but not enough concrete info on successfully pairing the iphone - which makes me a little hesitant on taking the risk.

I think I might stay safe and go with one of the phones you recommended in my last post on this topic (Samsung GT8500). Cheers

Greg
