Wind noise, top of screen

Morning all.

I seem to have a wind noise problem, and unless I'm either imagining it, or have been subconsciously blocking it, it's getting worse.

I have quite a high level of wind noise at motorway speeds, which seems to be coming from the top of the screen. It's quiet (ish - but gradually noticeable) up to 50 mph, then it starts, and gets worse the faster you go.

I'm pretty sure it's not the sunroof - opening the shade inside doesn't make it any louder, and although the source of noises can be hard to pinpoint, if you lean forward and up towards the top of the screen, that definitely seems to be where it's coming from.

There's nothing obviously damaged or missing from the trim on the outside.

Anyone else have, or had, this? Any clues as to what it might be? Thanks....

It may well be the front of the rubber trim on the roof rail. It can start to lift slightly and vibrates in the slipstream at motorway speeds. Had this on mine coming back from skiing and a simple stick down sorted it.

Will try and get a picture in a bit Thumbs Up

Ah, good tip, thanks, I'll have a look at those. What did you stick them back down with?

Try duct tape or masking tape first on a clean dry surface and if it cures it then you know its the fault. If not then its onto the a pillar trims which are culprits too sometimes too from my own experience Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
