Check coolant level.

Got the above error on the dash earlier at the end if a short 10 min journey.

I did as instructed and checked the coolant level.....

Car being warm the level was in the cold fill range, so i duly added a 250ml full of ready mix pink coolant.

Just about a cm a over top of cold fill. Message gone.

Just gone out and put another 250ml in and is now half way up cold fill range.
Hunters changes the fbh last week, im thinking that they didnt bleed/fill the system fully?

Am going to get a tub of pink just incase, and will check it again tomorrow after a run, just strange i have been running it for a week with no message......

Ah well 6 days no troubles....... Not too bad for a ffrr Big Cry There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

They probably didn't put coolant in and just filled with water. It works on specific gravity not just water level. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Filled it cold this morning and went for a 20 min run. had over filled it a bit yesterday when warm and binging, but was sitll in cold fill range.

Set level at top of the cfl this am, takes ages to cool down so will have a look tomorrow and adjust.

Had this pretty much exact same thing with one of the hilux. Had a water pump changed and took ages to burp itself fully.
Is now stable with no leaks.

Im thinking that the runs i had done were short and maybe the engine stat was not fully open, so had not bled all the air our properly, that and the change in volume of the water make it difficult to set the levels correctly. Stone cold top up in the morning, followed by a half hour run, then check the next day and repeat for a few days should do it..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
