Central locking and electric window problem

Hi everyone,

The driver's door on the RR froze up this week, and my wife snapped the exterior latch cable when she tried to open it. I have now replaced the cable, and the exterior door handle is working fine, but it has left me with a different fault.

The driver's door no longer locks on the central locking, although all of the other doors do. I have checked all of the wires on the door card and the latch mechanism itself, and everything is connected as it should be. I also thought that perhaps I could have bent the lock rod when refitting the door card, but that is good and straight also, and moves up and down manually with minimal force. Possibly related - the driver's door electric window switch pack will now also only open and close the drivers window, and none of the other three, but each one still works using the switches on the other doors.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!!!

Iit turned out to be the white connector on the window switch pack (C2058) which is the one that connects to the BCU and the central locking motors. Even though the connector was latched shut, it wasn't inserted into the socket all the way. All sorted now! 2005 FFRR Td6 Vogue
