Fault 50-Can bus error any ideas

This is the fault code thrown up by the verdict in the air suspension section, there was nothing in DSC section but it did suddenly pop up abs return pump. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Check you connections on all the CAN bus network. (the twisted wires). The fault doesn't necessay have to be on the EAS. It may be a dry joint or a small bit of corrosion. These types of faults can be a nightmare to find unfortunatley.

Start with the ABS as it's under the bonnet and the engine/ transfer box ECUs are behind the battery. Make sure the battery you get is the correct amp rating for the car.

Jonny, I posted a while back..... do NOT spray/Steam clean your engine bays. That what led to water in my ABS module. its badly designed adn holds water in the cover!

I just meant the wing behind the wheel, to get the mud off not under the bonnet but a year ago the top hose burst and soaked the abs module and plug, we cleaned it well and used wd40 but the problem may lay there although it looks fine. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

OK quick up-date, yesterday went to get haircut, started car no lights or warnings, stayed that way till I parked at home, came out 1 hour later start car all the same warnings and you cant clear them using the on board diagnostics. Fast forward to just now, my bear came and fitted the new Bosch S5, cleared the faults and lock to lock, Ta Da no warnings etc, fingers crossed that may do it, checked voltage with car running all seat heaters on, fan and heated f&r screens, dropped to 12.6 and raised to a steady 13.6 volts, this a fully charged bat that was trickle charged all day yesterday. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!
