could you roll down off the drive so the range is more on a flat....then try to start it again. ... - .- -.

could be a problem then and maybe doing that might not help...it does sound like fuel starvation though.. ... - .- -.

hi stan, well i have managed to roll it down onto level ground, but it still wont start. can you advise how i can test if the fuel pump has failed |

hi mate, thanks for the picture. is the main pump accessed under the spare wheel?, also i have had a look under the bonnet and just to the right on the engine nearer to the front than the rear is what looks like a pump/filter type of thing, which is sitting in a upright position, along with several tubes, a couple of which are clear. these seem to be full of diesel with no air blocks, but there is also a small plastic sort of bowl which is also connected to the other piece via a tube but that is empty |

Looks like the access panels are more under the rear seat, forward of the spare wheel well............

hi mate, thanks for the pictures. looking at the fuel filter pics, the little plastic bowl,( just to the bottom left of the main filter ), about the size of a cotton reel |

Will check filter in a sec...........though on the other thread, I'm told its the breather for the gearbox............

It is a breather and nothing to do with fuel
