It can be done, Uli describes it as having to remove 2 screws but something gets lost in Translation, these new nuts are going to be 30 euros a piece, is that Ok with everyone? One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Its just a nylon square nut with the correct thread tapped in it! Im still considering making these in ally, if I can get a nut to copy and motor I may well do that and its no problem to knock off 10-15-20 I may even sell some on the bay. The problem is im in a bad way physically at the moment so was trying to avoid doing this if poss. If got a complete assembly of a column motor nut etc if u wanna borrow it to do a mock up and make some spares

If I make some Im quite happy to let members have them at cost, cant see it being more than a few £££ Problem will be if its not a standard thread ie like a screw type in a compressor but im told its a pretty standard thread size.
