changed the anti roll bar link / drop link today...

What a ballache, I had to grind the bottom nut off as it was seized solid. Also I've still got a knocking coming from the suspension . Any one have any pointers where else to inspect I.e . Bushes ? MY2010 TDV8 Vogue Ipanema Sand

It's the ball joint on the end of it that wears and clucks when you hit bumps. Lower control arm or as some call it lower suspension arm, same thing, there is a great write up on how to change it. I was getting knocking on sweeping corners as well, but it was the clunck from holes and speed bumps etc that drove me nuts and made me change them. About £25 a side, easy job.

Had a knock from mine too when going over speed bumps. went away when slightly pressing the brakes going over them. replaced both anti roll bar links as they were worn but still had the knock. turned out to be both the ball joints on the front nearside. upper and lower i think they are called but both are on the bottom. '04 td6 se

I looked at doing mine, there are 2 on each side at the front. Upper and lower track control arms.

I spoke to the specialist and they recommended swapping the whole arm rather than the bushes as they come with thrm fitted. The seats for the bushes can aparently stretch on the arms so that they arent a tight enough fit if you just change the bushes. The tca's are about 90 ish an arm. I have a tca bush on my desk as a paperweight hey are about £20 each. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
