According to the comments made - this poor person actually SURVIVED!.

I hate this type of access lift - we use them a lot for our work on various sites - nearly every time we position them, the f Censored ing things lock out when extending the boom arms so you have to start again by repositioning the base unit, or you operate the hand controls and there is a delay before anything moves like you would want resulting in sudden movements that rock the basket.

HEALTH and SAFETY in this country insists that you must use a PPE safety restraint harness and attach yourself to the basket (not that I would consider using a cherry-picker like these guys did) but if they had done the same ... Crying or Very sad
