Cleaning Grille, Side Vents, Air Intake

Evening All

Can anyone recommend a cleaning product for the Brunel Grey bits ?
I assume its painted plastic?

Mine has some marks, almost like water stains or tarnishing.
It's not tar spots or anything you might use a clay bar for..
The air vents by the washer jets are the worst , darker grey spots?

Cheers Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

You sure its not the lacquer lifting off. This is quite common on the air intake grille.

On the front grille and side vents more likely to be tar / road grime, so perhaps petrol or similar might be a good start ? .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Do you get your car washed at hand wash car washes? As the TFR does often stain brunel parts...

The car is new to me. Just trying to get as tidy as possible.
Had the paintwork "mopped" and polished professionally .
Treated the leather with Gliptone.
Wiped the engine, and door shuts over, autosol on exhausts...
It's starting to look nice.

Me... Anal !? Never Laughing

Not sure it's losing lacquer , looks more ingrained Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

Side vents - take them off and pop them in the dishwasher. Works a treat!

Thanks all

Like the idea of painted. Look very nice.... Will have to go on "to do" list

Whilst googling it appears that residual wax is a common problem as discolours trim .
It could be that ? Various tips including PEANUT BUTTER !? Rolling Eyes
