Thank you, but with the £400.00 improvement I get up to date maps with the low res display or are the graphics improved by the upgrade. i thin k that the 2002 screen is quite poor possible as we get used to iPhone iPad screen.

Hello mate

I've just upgraded with the MK 4 DVD Sat Nav and the upgraded BM 54 and no it's not worth it. Use your money wisely and get a decent head unit with Sat Nav built in. You will lose some bits like the computer mileage but the Head Units that are available now are so much better than the non touch screen ones.

Knowing what I know now I definitely wouldn't upgrade my original system, better to rip it out and start again. There is a really nice one that gets advertised for the HSE which has an upto date screen, bound to be able to get that to fit to a vogue. 2002 Vogue Epsom Green with Ivory Leather.

Vogue is a different game altogether compared to the HSE. You can't change the head unit, and you can't rip it out.

Well you porb could but the time hassle and expense would be astronomical.

Would need a complete rewire with HSE kit.

Ive just updated to a MK4 nav unit and the difference is night and day The graphics are better, 7 digit postcode, 3d view etc. It just works so much faster than the Mk3 sat nav
Ive also updated the firmware on my Intravee and now have 4 flash indicators and mirrors fold with locketc

I think it was well worth the money Thumbs Up

OK understood the first bit, better graphics and 3d with all the existing lcd screen for +/- £400.00 but as for the last part ..... does that mean I need to visit a stealer? And what exactly do I ask for before bending over? Censored

Dealer? What dealer? If you go to LR they will say sorry - you've installed a BMW part that they have no idea of in your RR. If you go to BMW they will tell you you have a LR Laughing

You can do the update yourself. User Mattstevenson used to have a DL link to the latest sw version 32 on his website with a Range rover splash screen already inserted or you can search the net - there are instructions on making a RR upgrade disc and vendors selling them.

Def agree with Tesh, tho. I consider this very worthwhile and much better than the aftermarket Chinese satnavs.

You got 4 flash indicators and auto folding mirrors programmed from the Intravee, or from the upgraded Sat Nav unit?

Any more info on how to do this would be appreciated.

I've had mine upgraded. If you don't have satnav then a new head unit is a good idea, but if you have it putting in a new head unit is not straight forward. Yes, you are paying a lot for some still fairly old tech, but those are your options.
