Steering Wheel Spokes

About to change the worn black steering wheel spokes on my FFRR to the kit supplied by Powerful UK. My question is - can I do this without removing the wheel? can I just remove the two side switch packs (audio controls telephone etc) and if so how do I get them off? I don't fancy taking the airbag off is my real concern.

They have a video tutorial on there YouTube channel. Looks like an easy job. I'll see if I can find it.

I've watched that one and it is an easy job with the wheel removed I just wanted to see if there was a way of doing it without removing the wheel. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

There are a couple of vids on their website when you purchase them. Tried to put a link up, but I'm not smart enough to figure that out...

Go to their website and click on the spoke covers. There are 2 vids half way down the page.

Nice silver steering wheel spokes now in place - removing the airbag was a bit of a challenge with the spring clip being quite a way inside.

Looks much better - very pleased. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

I put the soft nappa leather steering wheel on and that had the silver spokes.

It's a good upgrade, as is the soft nappa.........

Hey mjdronfield, Looks good, whats the quality for the wheel like? Fancy replacing my worn out wheel and trying to decide on the new wheel type?

Hi mate,

Quality is spot on. It's a genuine 2012 Range Rover wheel. Got it off the bay new for a bit over £200 delivered. Came with paddles for gearshift.

You can get the grained leather wheel for less, but I understand dirt can get in the grained bit.

Mine is a soft nappa one.

Cam Tech Craig on here can prob get you one at a good price.

There are some videos on the Powerfull UK site about how to change the wheel.

My old wheel was worn. Feels like you are driving a new car now ! 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

A really simple process and makes all the diference.
Took less than an hour all in and is a really smart bit of kit.....
